Centroid Are Recruiting: Facial Animator Wanted
RECRUITING – FACIAL ANIMATOR
Centroid is looking for a talented facial animator to join our team to work on an exciting new project. Excellent proven experience with the Faceware pipeline on at least one AAA game or film project is highly desirable along with an intimate knowledge of 3Ds Max for animation.
The role will initially be offered on a freelance or fixed term basis, with the potential to integrate the successful candidate in to the team on a longer term basis.

Required Skills:
· Ability to animate captured facial performances up to a Photo Real standard.
· Strong knowledge of FACS and associated phoneme/viseme shapes.
· 2+ years’ experience using Faceware and associated pipelines.
· One or more AAA game or film productions under their belt.
· 2+ years’ experience using 3Ds Max in a senior animator capacity (Applicants with exceptional ability under Maya will be considered upon review of samples.)
· Strong problem solving ability in understanding and dissecting complex rigs.
· Ability to take direction, as well as be self-motivated in their tasks.
Desired Skills:
· Experience creating and skinning complex facial controls.
· Knowledge of best practices for generating facial geometry and supporting morph targets.
· Experience with full performance capture pipelines.
· 2+ year’s knowledge of Motion Builder.
