Two Positions Available in Post Team for Animation Graduates and Aspiring Mocap Technicians

Role:

Working within the Centroid Post Production Department, you will be an efficient and adaptable member of the editing team, taking captured performance data through to final deliverable standard, whilst adhering to both artistic and technical constraints.

A keen eye for detail and some artistic flare, will enable you to add the finer details that deliver on an exceptional performance. Adaptability and problem solving skills are a must due to the dynamic nature of our work and ultimately a natural desire to learn and develop new software experience is a must.

Responsibilities:

·         Working with both the Post Production Manager and the team, you will maintain a consistent level of productivity, with production of high quality assets.

·        Be self-critical and also accepting of feedback, to provide clients with the best quality possible.

·        Manage time wisely, be self-motivated and provide accurate estimations of work remaining.

·        Learn industry standard tools to manage data through a full motion capture pipeline. Training will be provided but a strong desire to learn is paramount.

Experience/Abilities:

·         Strong proficiency with animation packages and in particular Motion Builder.

·         Demonstrable experience with editing and embellishing motion capture performances to a high level. 2+ years preferable.

·         Troubleshooting and wrangling character assets, being mindful of client requirements.

·         Strong organisational skills and familiarity with source control software.

·         Solid understanding of animation principals.

·         Experience with Motion Analysis or Vicon software a plus.

·         Experience animating facial performances a plus.

·         Experience with rigging both biped and quadrupedal characters a plus.

·         Experience with Cortex, Faceware and the Python scripting language a plus.

·         Ability to work on location in the UK studio.

Work environment:

Located at Shepperton Studios you will work with the production and post departments, utilising one of Europe’s largest capture volumes, on a range of projects.

Tea and coffee making facilities are provided as well as an on-site Café for food and refreshments.
